Find Qibla on your phone and check the compass

Qibla bearing is calculated from your location. The on-screen arrow also depends on your phone’s heading sensor. A correct location cannot prevent interference from metal surfaces, magnetic cases or sensor drift.

Why are bearing and arrow different?

Muslim Mubarak calculates the direction to the Kaaba from your location, then displays it relative to the phone heading. Correct GPS coordinates do not guarantee a correct heading reading. Refreshing location cannot solve every compass issue.

Use the compass step by step

Allow location access and verify the area. Hold the phone flat. Move away from magnetic cases, vehicles, speakers and large metal surfaces. Wait for the heading to settle, then turn slowly and check that the direction stays consistent.

If the arrow keeps moving

Try another location and see whether another compass is unstable too. Apps on the same phone may share the same sensor error. Check a local mosque’s direction or a reliable map-based Qibla tool separately.

Can one accuracy percentage describe it?

No single accuracy percentage applies to every phone and environment. This is a technical usage guide; ask a qualified person about individual religious rulings or uncertainty concerning worship.
