At Muslim Mubarak, we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
2. Data Collected
When creating an account: Email address, full name, and preferred language. During app usage: Prayer tracking data, Quran reading progress, mood records, gratitude notes, and AI chat history. Device data: Device type, operating system version, and notification token.
3. Location Data
We use your location to calculate prayer times and the qibla direction. This data: • Is rounded to about 1 km and stored on your device • Is not stored on our servers • May be sent, rounded, to a prayer-time service (Aladhan) only when on-device calculation isn't possible • Is turned into a place name by your operating system's location service (Apple/Google) You can revoke location permission at any time.
4. Data Usage
We use your data for the following purposes: • Providing personalized prayer times and reminders • Tracking your worship statistics • Answering your religious questions with AI Assistant • Improving app experience • Premium subscription management
5. Data Storage
Your data is stored encrypted on secure Firebase servers. Sensitive data such as mood and gratitude records are primarily stored on your device.
6. AI Assistant and Data Privacy
When you use AI features (AI Assistant, Kids Quran Teacher, Halal Scanner): • The messages you type or the photos you take are sent through our server to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a response • OpenAI may retain this data for a limited time under its own policies; your data is not used for advertising and is never sold • Your chat history is stored on your device and can be deleted at any time Please do not share sensitive personal information. AI responses are for general information and do not replace a personal religious fatwa.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: • Firebase (Google): Authentication, data storage and cloud functions • RevenueCat: Subscription management • OpenAI: AI responses and image analysis • Google Cloud Text-to-Speech: Audio narration • Expo: Notification delivery • Aladhan API: Prayer times when on-device calculation isn't possible (with a rounded location) These services have their own privacy policies. Usage analytics are only enabled if you opt in.
8. Children's Privacy
Our App is suitable for all age groups. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13. We recommend parents supervise their children's app usage.
9. Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all your data by using the "Delete Account" option in app settings. Deletion is irreversible and all your data will be permanently deleted.
10. Data Export
In accordance with your rights under KVKK and GDPR, you can request a copy of your data. Use the "Export My Data" option in the settings menu for this process.
11. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data: • SSL/TLS encryption • Secure data storage • Regular security audits • Access control
12. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of significant changes. You can always view the current policy from within the app.
